Yes, WalMart sells for cheaper because they get the products at the mass quantity discount. ...but... Mom & pop stores can absolutely kill WalMart with good service and a knowledgeable staff. If a mom & pop store goes out of business, it's because they didn't enhance their competitive edge in the service department.
Members el_duderino676
anyway, about fenders again, I don't see what the $2500 difference between a MIA fender and a Sadowsky is.

The difference is one is a top-notch instrument used by countless recording artists with tones that can be either modern or vintage, with tried-and-tested hardware and a feel that is brand new and familiar at the same time. The other is a Fender.

They make money because they sell a lot of products. Putting mom and pop out of business is just a side effect of their buisness model which makes suppliers knuckle under so Walmart can sell cheaper to the end comsumer. But this only works on high volume stuff. Mom and Pop need to be in specialty areas. Don't blame Walmark because they got you a better price on something. Members Zamfir
After encountering a lug mp3, I am compelled to hang out in Wal Mart for a few hours, seeking a return to normalcy. Fortunately, I find underwear and t-shirts I can afford, thanks to their use of illegal, underpaid labor whose injuries they don't have to pay workmen's comp on! Yes, those TBers can be quite humorous sometimes. I especially liked the thread about how a $150 power cable for you amp will make it sound like sex with God or some {censored} like that.
