lack of more body styles...that is about it. Used to be in the anti-fender crowd, but damn, over time I have grown to love j basses, and the p bass sound, just don't like the p bass neck...

I actually always liked the way their amps sounded. In fact I was thinking about getting a fender combo amp instead of lugging my Ampeg cabs and amp around

now i have one...this one in particular

poor fit neck to body

body a bit too large

bulky headstock

A string needs better break angle

fretboard radius too small

bridge not suitable for non through stringing

pups are sufficient but can be improved

 

othewise a trusty and no nonsense P/J with jazz neck and alum guard..

 

dont bother me if it drops, gets scratched, or stolen...

 

its for playing:cool:

-horrible bridge

-poor neck stability due to poor neck joint and only four measly screws to hold it on

-terrible elctronics noise

-not so great tuners

-fugly headstock

-poor fretwork on standard models

-and just the fact that it's fender.
