Odd Bass Mods

OK... it's Friday... and now I'm really starting to get loopy.

 

Has anyone ever seen/tried/played a bass guitar with a J pickup (running parallel) under each string?

 

I'm thinking of trying that. I want to see what it sounds like.

But way too much pull on the strings, I would think. Whatever the tonal effects of that would be.

i really like the idea of being able to dial the volume for each string.

How abuot also with 4 dual pots!? Inside knobs for volume, and outside knobs for tone!!

 

I'm gonna have to try to make this beast one of these days!

I think it would sound better if all 4 of them were in series.
