Yea.

I ripped out the EMG HZ's and the EMG preamp. The neck pu is a Bart M34M(which is a blade form reverse precision pickup in a soapbar housing) and the bridge is a Bart M34C(dual coil blade humbucker).

I replaced the preamp with an all passive setup consisting of 250k pots. V/V/T/3-way selector.

Sounds much better, IMO. I was never an EMG or an active preamp fan.

It's sounds damn good to me, and if you know how to do some soldering, it isn't that tough.

I had mine done by a tech, and just sold the pickups and the preamp.

Then you are all set ;)

Bart humbuckers are about $90-$100 each, and the pots and switch are pretty inexpensive.
