Members mounds Posted August 22, 2005 Members Posted August 22, 2005 Just saw a donna summer concert last night. I've not seen anything like that since I was little. (i'm 21, btw) at any rate, i was really impressed with it on the whole. it's not what i listen to generally, but i grew up with it (my mom loves the 70's..) and i've got a lot of respect for the musicians involved and donna's still got a pretty killer voice. the guy that plays bass in her band was pretty phenomenal, but there wasn't as much slapping as i would have thought, but he was pretty damn good. anyway, just thought i'd share. there's bound to be some of you that like her music

Members D Aussie Posted August 22, 2005 Members Posted August 22, 2005 Hot Stuff! I thunk she had stopped.. that is grouse that she continues. She is a REAL singing dancing woman.. not like these bloody clones that get produced now.
Members L-1329 Posted August 22, 2005 Members Posted August 22, 2005 Donna has a killer voice! I am not a huge fan of most of her music, but there is no denying her talent. Powerful, clear, and a great musician as well. She sang the national anthem at one of the last world series games, and just was amazing. Great singer.
Members Cortfan Posted August 22, 2005 Members Posted August 22, 2005 The Queen of Disco. Not much bass slapping in the 70's. I think that started a little later. I like her music.

Members Cortfan Posted August 22, 2005 Members Posted August 22, 2005 O.K. O.K. it was a bad joke. I have a very dry sense of humor. I have kids older than 21.
