Tommy Shannon wore all Black alot and a Cap. I play in a Blues band and I have a nice medium sized cowboy hat with Silver Concho's on it. A black strap for my Bass with Silver Concho's on it. black jeans and a black shirt. For shoes I use New Balance black. Boots would be nice, but I could not wear them for long sets.
Members bassgirl9 Posted August 23, 2005 Members Posted August 23, 2005 Just kidding.. How about a black dress shirt, no tie, a pair of blue jeans and a pair of black boots. a thick black belt as well to match the boots. If you're skinny, leave the shirt open for the second set and just have a grey or white wife beater (Im not sure what people outside of Canada call those... muscle shirts? Tank tops? I don't know.) If you're heavy leave it done up most of the way, but untucked. Thats a pretty safe bet. You can get as flashy as you want though. Stevie Ray might not have been too far away from my first suggestion to be honest with you.

Heh, when I right-clicked to get the url, Tommy's site says "Please don't copy my pictures." I'm not copying anything, so I didn't feel bad. Besides, he should be proud. It's a great pic of him. The sharpie writing is John Lee Hooker's sig.
Members Mudbass Posted August 23, 2005 Members Posted August 23, 2005 You can't look bluesy without feeling bluesy. so here's what you do. 1. Tell the old lady you've been sleeping with her sister.2. Run your credit cards up to the max then walk into your boss' office and announce that you've been sleeping with his wife.3. Take out a second mortgage on the house, go to Vegas and lose it all.4. Get drunk and total your car into a police cruiser.5. Call the IRS and tell em to {censored} off. Do this and you'll not only look bluesy, you'll feel bluesy.

Apparently it's a gay blues bar. Kidding. Nobody here knows it. So who's doing the PA/sound? (hint, hint)

I would have to find out if the band would pay for someone's sound services (hint hint)...
