I'm not sure they ever get those in the Persian Gulf. Though I'm pretty sure the designers took weather and water into account when they built it

Hey, if we had the same resources, I'm sure New York, LA, and Chicago would all have similar hotels...and more than one ;)

Depending on the room and the dates, it's like $500-$15k a night

Yea...don't fall ;)

And I'd imagine you wouldn't have much luck suing the hotel if your family member got hurt up there either hehe

I've seen that place in real life. it's incredible, although you can't actually go inside without being a paying guest. you can pay $45 to see the lobby, but that's it. hence, i didn't go in. the same people own another 5-star hotel across the street called the Jumeirah Beach Hotel...for the "poorer" millionaires ;)

I've seen a documentary of that place, friggen' amazing. Pretty sure that I'll never be playing tennis on that court though -- even if I could afford to stay there. I'm pretty much terrified of heights.

I saw the Discovery Channel thing that they did about this place, the front wall is a giant canvas wall, and they had to change the floor layout inside because the original design was so high and straigh inside that looking down from the top floor to the lobby (its got balconies all over the place inside) would give you vertigo!

it was super insteresting to watch them build it, it was on the frontiers of construction show
