Members Stinkfoot
I see them occasionally on ebay between $650 - $750 used. I have found a place that will sell me a new one for $800 plus shipping. I'm not crazy about buying a used amp unless I can get it for quite a bit less than a new one. Also, I'm thinking of getting an Avatar 2x12 to go with it. Will this be a good match? Should it be running at 2 ohms or is 4 plenty loud for gigs? I run mine at 4 ohms into an 810 and never have turned it up more than halfway. 800 isnt exactly cheap for one but it is by no means a ripoff. Play on it first, preferably with your own bass and cabinet. I reccomend it but everybody has different tastes in sound. It has a very 3D type sound if that makes any sense. You can feel the lows and hear the mids. Both fills in and cuts through at the same time.
Members Incubitabus
I paid $600 total for mine. I bought it used off ebay for $550 with footswitch, and then I bought the GB rack for it a month later for $50.
Members illidian
A good used price is $500 or so, hopefully with both footswitches. khmer66 (IIRC) sells them new on eBay for $659.00 plus $35 shipping quite often.
Members Stinkfoot
is this the guy? I tried contacting him already and he didn't reply. Maybe I'll try again.

Yup. He hiked the price up $100? Unfortunate. $800 shipped would be a good price then. E-mail a shop and say xyz.com is selling them for $800 and ask if they'll beat the price. Members J.
$750-800 is a good price. A lot of shops won't even touch that. I know a shop where if I went in and said I'd pay $800 cash for a brand new GBE600 they'd laugh in my face.
Members Stinkfoot
I just picked up a GBE 600 off the Bay for $470. I got a great price but that's partly due to this guy only having 1 feedback. What are some steps I should take to ensure I don't get screwed? I asked for the serial number and his phone number. Anyway, I'm stoked to get one of these amps and for a decent price. $470 + $58 shipping for $528 shipped. Now I need a cabinet. Can anyone suggest me some good inexpensive cabinets? I have a Geddy Lee Jazz Bass with flat wound strings. I mostly play in a rock band and I'm looking for a nice thumpy clean and occasionally some brighter picked tones for more of an aggressive sound. I was thinking either an Avatar 2x12 or maybe if I can justify it going with a 15 with a 2x10 on top.
Members Stinkfoot
Do you think running a single 15" cabinet at 4 ohms would be enough for most gigs? Would that be too muddy since I'm using flat wounds?
