Members venturawest Posted August 26, 2005 Members Posted August 26, 2005 dude. we got pounded. lost power. my neighbour's apartment was destroyed. thanking my stars i got through ok. now i have internet access, but no AC and no running water. and no car. and no food. but i'm alive, and my apartment isn't demolished. hope nobody was planning to fly in for the VMAs!

Sorry about your neighbors =/ yeah, i feel terrible for them. apparently the south side of the building got spanked with rain, and leaked through all the windows and balcony doors - i helped 'em mop up rain all night, gave 'em every towel and blanket i had. unfortunately, i think their hardwood floors are pretty much done for. btw, i'll take you up on those powerbars....

Members venturawest Posted August 26, 2005 Author Members Posted August 26, 2005 whoa. check this, yo. apparently the storm basically landed about 10 miles north of here, so downtown miami all the way to the upper keys got hammered. i ventured out of my apartment and it looks like a damn war zone - trees down everywhere, huge major structures uprooted, it's crazy. i took a couple of pictures from my car for ya. (ps. the stingray's fine, thanks for asking!)
