Members rx jr.
hello. I'm "new" here. I'm thinking of and getting a T-40 (i know you guys are obsessed with them) but I'm kinda worried about how awkward I'll look when I wear it. so I was wondering if you guys can post pictures of you or someone you know playing a T-40, live situation or not. it's kinda too round for my tastes, but hopefully that'll change thanks EDIT: how comfortable is it btw? I don't have pics with me wearing it, but I will say it's about as comfortable as hanging a boat anchor over your shoulder. Mine, a fretless, does sound awesome though. Members TheGZeus,OnFire
When I finally get mine I'm hanging it from a customized belt as I have a bad back. Luckily I play over the fingerboard.....
Members lug
If you are worrying about how pretty you will look holding a T-40, maybe the T-40 isn't the bass for you. It's like worrying whether your bazooka matches your belt in a combat situation.
Members Markee
Wear something that draws attention away from your bass....like big red floppy shoes....hope this helps.

I had a pic of myself playing my T40 at home, the pic was kinda wierd because the T40 looks almost as big as me. By the way I'm selling my T40/T45. Members sunburstbasser
Originally posted by rx jr. i just think the body looks too big and would look awkward or something The bass itself is big. It ends up looking not more oversized than a Fender Jazz or Precision.

Members narcolepticbass
if a T-40 is big to you, you definitely wouldn't like a Gibson Grabber. I'm an average size guy and it looks huge on me.

Members el_duderino676
Most people think of them as heavy, but I think they are pretty light, compared to my Yamaha that is. Seriously, why judge a bass on how goofy you look with it rather than important things like how it plays or sounds?
Members rambler1959
it depends on the bass, ive found each one to weigh different. a few friends have em and they all are slightly different. one is heavier than my bb1200, and another is lighter. thats what i know from the ones i have weighed. I only know it plays and sounds good because the bass forum raves about it. haven't seen one in real life

Sometimes you just have to look for a deal and buy to try.
