Well, here I am. In my new townhouse. First time away from home that'll be for longer than 2 weeks. Sigh. I'm already a bit homesick. Tonight might be a bit rough...my roommate moves in tomorrow though, so I guess I won't be alone for long.

I'm a bit sad...I don't know that many people here, yet...and it's Saturday night in a new town and I'm at home alone.

But at least my place is FRICKIN' AWESOME!!! PARTY NEXT FRIDAY!! WOOO!! haha..

ha...hmm...:(

Living alone is a right of passage. Enjoy the silence. You may learn something about yourself in the process.

Also, no woman likes a mamma's boy. I'm not saying you are, but living on your own seperates you from all the bitch boys out there who can't hack it in the real world.

Congrats, and good luck!

Olds. Just a college town, really.

I'm used to small towns and all, which is good. But I like HOME way better. haha.

When does school start for you? and which school you go to again?

Olds, AB? Never heard of it, I'll go look it up. Looks like it's halfway between Red Deer and Calgary. Middle of nowhere :(.

I go to the University of Regina. Classes just finished. I'm on a work term starting Tuesday until the end of the year. I'm back to actual classes in January.

Being alone can either rule, or suck ass I find. If I find myself busy or doing something I like, it's a good time. If I have nothing to do, or something bad happens, it sucks ass.

Now, go grab thee a beer!

:D

Anywhere along highway 2 in alberta isn't really the middle of nowhere, but yeah, it's a bit closer to Red Deer than Calgary. Look up Viking, AB on the map. That's closer to the middle of nowhere, and that's where i'm originally from.:) honestly, it's only about 2 hours away from home...but that's seems like a lot right now.

Good luck with the work term ,though. I've got lots of friends that go to U of S and some cousins that live in Saskatoon as well. But that's about the only thing i know about Saskatchewan :D

And don't worry...Beer is being enjoyed.

Not much more to know about Saskatchewan :D.

Check out Meadow Lake, SK. I lived there for 12 years. That's also the middle of nowhere :D.

Yup :D.

If I remember right, North End, SK is in the south, and East End, SK, is in the west. We have some really stupid people in this province.

You going to school? What you taking?

Anyways I'm going to bed. If you have Showcase, I think there is a nudie movie on right now :D.

It's amazing how a line on a map makes Alberta better on so many levels.

And yeah, going to "Olds College" taking Agricultural Production & Management. Then I'll transfer to U of A to get my B.Sc in Agriculture. Should be fun.

But no cable yet, you bozo. So i'll just imagine myself watching nudie movies.

weird....I never had a down moment when I left home. And its not like I don't love my folks - I love 'em to death...but moving out of the house when I was 18 was just the RIGHT thing to do, and I've developed an even closer relationship with my folks as a result...go out, explore the city - have fun in your neck of the 'woods' - enjoy having your own pad!

Living away from home is the best! You'll get used to it soon, and see the good side to your new freedom. Especially when school starts up. I lived away from home for 4 straight years, now I've been back for a little over a year. Next month I'll be moving out again and I can't wait!

Once your roommate gets there, get some beers and have a good time. Is there much to do in Olds? There must be some pubs or bars you could hit?

Showcase has some good nudie movies some weekends! :)

Thanks a lot. I won't be going into the rodeo circuit in Olds because I don't feel like boarding a horse up here. Plus, I sold my bulldoggin horse since i knew I wouldn't have time for rodeo this year. There's a slight chance i'll be a hazer or help out somewhere, but it's not a big concern for me.

But again, thanks for luck. I might need it here,.

I haven't been "home" to viking in quite a while, and I lived just south of a city of ~1,000,000

Viking has about 1000 poeple living within its realm. Olds has about 7000 in it. I'm kinda lucky....I got to live the farm life but had the city close by. Lots of fun...and I've got city half an hour north or south to me, as well.

I shouldn't bitch so much, eh?
