Gig-Related: What's The Meaning Of This?

My rock band is playing a pig roast in a few hours, and I'm starting to break down gear in my basement and load it in the van.

I'm not nervous and/or freaking out at all.

Normally, I get pretty tense and queasy when I'm a few hours before the gig. This time I'm not. Even last week when my country band debuted, I was all nerves.

this is the point where you realise you are now comofortable playing gigs

the way it usually works for me is when were loading up, its no big deal, by the time we get to the bar and were setting up i cant wait to play, ive never been scared or nervous playing, i always get antsy to get up there and play

Even the gigs that sometimes i dont feel like playing, when i get there, i cant wait to get on stage.

TBroom, how long have you been playing?

I've owned a bass longer that I've actually played one...long story.

I'd say I effectively started playing bass in January 2004.

I just got back from the gig...other than the guitarist starting a song in the wrong key and the singer starting it over (how embarassing!)...the gig went well and was a lot of fun.
