Members Singlecoillover
I'm have a 1990 Aria Pro II on hold, but was also considering a Squier P-Bass. I want something ultra-cheap because I don't really play bass, just wanna fool with it a little. I would like to buy whichever one would be better. I chose the aria because it was Japanese and it seemed to sound better, but then I read reviews and some ppl seemed to hate it. So now i'm not so sure. What do y'all think? Members zachoff
Get an SX from Rondo Music... Seems they're about the same as a Squier but cheaper.
Members Singlecoillover
Can't, I've already got money invested in that store. So the Squier would be a better choice?
Members zachoff
You can't ask for your money back? That seems odd. Anyway, the Aria is probably better than a Squier but I'm guessing it's more expensive. If they have Peavey or Yamaha, both of those will probably be better than a Squier and about the same price. Members pix
I just bought a washburn XB100 from GC. I'm still not sure about it's sound because I'm using an adapted amp but it surely is cheap (129$) and comes with a nice gig bag (more like a case). Members Singlecoillover
Actually the aria is cheaper, cause it's kinda beat up......but seems structurally sound.
Members Adrenochrome
The Aria will most likely sound better. BUT you need to buy which bass suits/fits you best so it'd be better to try these basses before you buy if you could borrow similar basses from someone or try them in other shops. Members Singlecoillover
I tried both, I really liked both, however I think I enjoyed playing the aria more. That's why I chose it, I just wanna make sure they don't have serious issues that I'm missing, such as bad tuners, faulty bridges or stuff like that. Everything seemed quality enough, although the jack was bad, but the guy who runs the little shop is going to fix it for me.
