Members Assumer
I am with you bro. I remember the first time I lusted after a lawn mower. I had to drink a lot of beer to surpress the unholy lusting.

Twigs, leaves, grass cuttings, branches up to 2" in diameter, whatever, it's all gone.

Members Perfessor
If you get a rider get one with a cup holder. That'll mark you as a "made" old man.
Members Perfessor
And if anyone asks anything about it say" I dunno, the guy at the store set it up. That's all I know." You'll feel like your ready to get out the farmer's hankerchief after making comments like that. And "well, the wife's got lunch cookin. Better get inside." AAAHHHHHHH. CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted September 12, 2005 CMS Author Share Posted September 12, 2005 You guys have so much to learn. Did the mower thing. Did the lawn tractor thing. Did the hire the lawn service thing. You aren't old until you've got your kid mowing the lawn for you.
Members kilmister
Just got this last year. Biggest seeling feature was the beer holder. Love it.
CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted September 12, 2005 CMS Author Share Posted September 12, 2005 To be honest, I've caught myself lusting after one of those mini bucket-loader/backhoes they sell at Home Depot. We never really outgrow Tonka's, do we?
Members lug
I'm a poor man and drive a poor man's mower. (mine's actually the previous model) but it does have the requesit cup holder so it's cool.
CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted September 12, 2005 CMS Author Share Posted September 12, 2005 I sold my lawn tractor when it became obvious that it was more cost effective to hire a lawn service. Between buying battery every year, and blades and belts every two, and space to store the thing, etc. it was pretty expensive. And it still took a couple of hours to do the lawn. I sold it for $500, which paid for 20 visits by the lawn service. And I have to say, no matter everything else, I always felt foolish driving the thing.
