Members irondrummer Posted September 11, 2005 Members Posted September 11, 2005 I'm mainly a drummer, but I started on guitar, and have always loved bass. I decicde to take up bass. I have a MIM P and I bought some books. Hal leonards fast track series. The problem is, the book is too easy. What books or what should I practice to become a really good bassist?
Members sunburstbasser Posted September 11, 2005 Members Posted September 11, 2005 Every good bassist knows a ton of cool stage poses. Make sure you know them, otherwise all the skill in the world will get you nowhere. Also, see if you can't find some transcription books of your favorite bass albums. Learn to read music. Join a jazz band! Learn some theory. And lessons! www.adamnitti.com
