Thought you might like that one! It's not mine, but a pic of a Valenti I came across while researching mine. I wanted to see if the 19mm bridge would fit on the Deluxe 5 neck, and this one has both, and the same pickups as mine will. Look tight but should rock! I saw this one and thought of you.
Members timmerz Posted September 11, 2005 Members Posted September 11, 2005 Mmmmmmmm, boy..... I assume the price tag on that one would be up in the area of "if you have to ask, you can't afford it"? It talks to me....what's the head look like? One problem I'd have...I need to anchor my thumb, and the place my hand naturally plays is about mid-way between those two pickups.....

It is probably not as much as you would think, but certainly not cheap, I am guessing around $1500? It all depends on how nuts you get with the options, pups, hardware etc. If you have a builder do it for you like this one that would also add to the price. No pics of the headstock, but if you google Valenti basses he uses the same one on all his basses, which are Warmoth bodies and necks.
Members bassman1956 Posted September 11, 2005 Members Posted September 11, 2005  purrrr-deee.... Nordstrand recently revamped their site. That huge selection of bass pups they used to have is replaced with only a sampling of the most standard models. Well, mayme not... or maybe all the pages weren't up at the start... or maybe I missed the linkies across the top in ghost shades... Maybe it's just the new site arrangement in pages rather than one big long list... Anyone sure on this?

Members SpaceGhost Posted September 11, 2005 Members Posted September 11, 2005 Isn't that Embellisher's bass? I think he posts or used to post over here but than re-migrated back over to talkbass. Killer bass none the less!
Members bpocall Posted September 11, 2005 Members Posted September 11, 2005 He was sent the bass to review, but Nino's got it back, and it's for sale on his site. I think speddling's in line to review it too.
Members miles to go Posted September 12, 2005 Members Posted September 12, 2005 I actually emailed Nino about that very bass yesterday. It definitely looks like a very sweet instrument. "List price" as spec'ed is $1720. Since it's a demo model, he's willing to knock a little off. Here's the headstock: and the whole thing: Man, I want that thing. But my bank account is saying no...
Members timmerz Posted September 12, 2005 Members Posted September 12, 2005 OhmyfarkingGAWD..... I sure wish you wouldn'a done that....that head's got Fender whupped hard.... That whole bass, including the color, headstock, partial pick-guard, lighter-colored fingerboard, string spacing and pickups, talks to me very loudly. Hits a whole bunch of my buttons....
