I didn't even know they made them for bass!How does it sound as opposed to the Eden, which I know the sound of? Verrry nice rig, by the way! Looks like extremely good coverage all the way across the bass spectrum!

Stingray > Mesa > Eden/Ampeg... that'll make guitarists cry for mercy. How old is that 2x12? I've NEVER seen one of those, and I'm an Ampeg dork. EDIT: just realized that's a SUNN, not a Mesa. Still sweet though.
Members cthulhu0 Posted September 13, 2005 Author Members Posted September 13, 2005 no idea on the age or many details of the ampeg. alls i know is that it gets the pants a flapping. as for sound, its alot flabbier than the eden. the eden is nice and tight and focused. the ampeg adds more oomph. i was looking for a 1x15, but i came across this thing, and woooo... sometimes the eden is just too clean. those two make air *move*. made the grills vibrate off some other cabs in the warehouse.. so the next time the upstairs neighbor decides to have an all night marathon sex fest (followed by fighting, followed by more pounding sex, followed by more fighting........ ), i know what to do. the ampeg just came from a warehouse, so i can;t say much about that. everything else spent the last year in my fathers basement... i'm trying to get it back in shape. and the flash really brings out the yuck... hm. do regular carpet cleaners work on this stuff? any tips for that?

I've never see that one either. I have an Ampeg 2x12, but one driver fires out the front, one driver out the back, and there's 3 rack spaces built into the top of it. If it still has the serial number on it, you can date it here.

For the Ampeg: just some 409 and a paper towel. For the Eden: a good vacuuming is about all you can do. I wouldn't steam-clean; you might melt any glue holding the carpet down. Dunno what to do about the "fuzzing". Maybe get one of those sweater shavers and spend a good 14-15 hours trimming it?
