School Bus Fight On The Way To Work

So I was going in for my last afternoon shift yesterday, 7th in row, and on the way I saw a school bus had just turned a corner and was ahead of me with it's yellow flashers going. Two cars were ahead of me and were waiting to pass. When I had one car in front of me I could see some kids horsing around at the back of the bus. When that car went and I was directly behind the bus I could see a rumble going on inside. A kid had a long, shart pointed plastic thing and was trying to stab another kid who had him keeled over and was pounding his head. Two or three other kids were involved. I saw one cop car coming from the street it turned from near the high school and another one came down the street at about 60mph. I wish I could have stuck around. The bus driver was getting kids off as I drove by. We never had stuff like this that I can remember, just sleepy rides back and forth.

Kids are {censored}ing nuts these day (I should know, I'm one of them) and some of them are like caged animals. I used to hang out with the "bad" kids and they would tell you that you could jump other people on a bus and hurt them bad because of the limited mobility. Kids fight because of really dumb reasons, which is sad because a lot of times people get hurt bad.

This brings back unpleasant memories for me. When I was in the 6th grade (oh, about 100 years or so ago now) we were shipped across town because of over-crowding at our regular school. Had to ride with the junior high kids who tortured us. They resented having to ride with the babies:rolleyes:

The absolute worse were some gangster wannabes (girls) that would be the holy crap out of me on a daily basis because I wouldn't yell out the window that some teacher sucked. One of their girls did, got caught and suspended and they took it out on me. Needless to say the cops eventually were called by a parent (the school refused to do a thing) and it all stopped. Kinda tough to defend yourself against 5-6 {censored}heads at one time:mad:

Ahh well, the drain bamage is much better now:D

Being tall, skinny, geeky, shy, and introverted growing up, I took more than my share of abuse and torment from other kids, particularly the "in" crowd and the jocks. The uber-jock kid that eventually became the quarterback and captain of the football team was one of the worst. One day he was hassling me one on one, though, and got in my face and pushed it too far. I got fed up, picked him up in the air, turned him over, and threw him down as hard as I could at least 2-3' headfirst onto a big rock. Stunned him, I'm really surprised now that I think back on it that I didn't kill him. Then again, there weren't many neurons in his skull to damage. Needless to say, he never bothered me much after that. But it still disturbs me that I was capable of such hatred and violence. I have a bad tendency to just "let things go" for far too long, but they build up internally, and if the offenses never stop, I eventually just go off.

It's always been there, but with the societal norms and teaching of self control in our culture going to hell, such incidents are only going to become more and more prevalent.

That, is why I really hate how mindless this violence can be sometimes. Not saying you shouldn't of done anything, in fact, If you hadn't he was going to damn well harrass you from then on. Once these meatheads realize they aren't invincible, they stop pushing but the fact that that doesn't sink in sooner pisses me off like nothing else. Glad you were okay though.
