Fender P-bass Deluxe appreciation thread.

Who else LOVES these basses? I've played TONS of different basses and I always come back to these, the looks, the playability, the tone.....PERFECT....IMHO.

Thats why I bought a G&L SB2. I wanted a Fender Hotrodded P-bass, but couldn't find them anywhere with a reasonable price.

 

A local shop here in Tulsa has 2 Fender Hotrodded P-basses both in Sunset orange Transparent (maple & rosewood boards).... they are NOS like 5-6 years. They won't come down at all on them.

indeed! I used to have the sweetest Natural Ash + Rosewood passive model....truly a painful loss!

I agree. Fender makes some pretty uninspiring stuff, but they have their diamonds in the rough. I've always felt this was one of them.
