Members slapthefunkyfour
I'm restoring a 1978 les paul standard and I had to replace the bindings. Should I just use Elmer's wood glue? What about super glue? Would binding shavings mixed with laquer thinner work? What about hide glue? thanks, Matt
Members bunnies=dead
weld-on number 16. wood glues wont work, superglue can be a bitch but will work, but Weld-On Number 16 works awesome. plain epoxy would work too, but ive never tried it
Members slapthefunkyfour
I found that weld on stuff on stewmac's website. But they have a minimum order of $30 and I don't wanna spend that much for a little tube of glue. I was hoping to find something locally at like home depot or something. Do you know if that weldon stuff is like rubber cement?
Members slapthefunkyfour
what about cement used for those plastic model airplanes? I think that's acetone based. I'm gonna try to find some of that tomorrow.
