Members flatcat
Congratulations. I'll never buy another Monster cable, though. They sound pretty good, but I have to replace them annually. They aren't tough enough to use at the wedding receptions and outdoor park gigs I play. Still - guaranteed for life means you get new ones when - and I do mean when - they crap out on you. I have to get one guitar, one 21' bass, and one XLR cable. The XLR cable is less than two months old. Overpriced junk. Good that you got them for nothing.

I like their cables better, but hey.....free is free!

Heck, if they're still in their factory packaging, ebay those bad boys! Congrats though, that's way cool!

I'd have to honestly say monster cables are a huge ripoff. I'm currently using a 20' roadhog cable that i bought at least 2 years ago. I also have a shorter proco that's been holding up really well. Go with the cheap stuff man. But since you won it, that's awsome!

Members J.
Yep, I've got a Monster Cable. It's a 12 foot 'Monster bass' cable supposedly made specially for bass frequencies. I got it for free. Now I'm on my second 'cause the first one crapped out. I'm sure this one will do the same given time.

Members Tag
oh yeah, and congrats to the guy that won the cables - free is free! Also, you guys should check out lava cables. (http://www.lavacable.com) I just ordered 5 and they are VERY nice quality and great sounding. Lifetime warranty, and the guy will make them however you want if you ask... Members Incubitabus
i have all monster cables and love them. I have replaced one, but that was after my dumbass former drummer stuck the spike on his kickdrum feet straight into my 21 footer... Congrats on the cables! I say keep them. Other cables may sound as good, but you cant beat going into any radio shack, Scam Cash or GC and replacing the cable on the spot. You guys' cables may be pristine after 2 years, but it only takes 1 stupid drummer to {censored} it up...

Members T. Alan Smith
I don't trust my MonsterBASS cables, as I've had to replace a few over the years ....Hmmm, maybe that's not so bad after all. ANYWAY... My Monster Studiolinks are still going strong after years of use. BTW, GC gave me a hard time TWICE during replacement. If you don't have a reciept, good luck. Nice customer service for lifetime warranty.

Nice customer service for lifetime warranty. I don't NEEEDDD No stinkin receipt!!! I work there!!!! BTW, I wouldn't give you a hard time. My philosophy is Exchange the cable, and upsell. If I harass you, you won't come back, and next time you need something, you'll go to scam cash. If I just exchange the cable, give you good service, and help you on your way, when you need a new multi effect, or an M- box, you'll come to me! Edit: No, not every GC employee thinks that way, and that's a shame.

If you have 1000 possible customers in your given local area, and you piss off all of them over the course of a year, then you'll go under after a year. If you turn even 1/4 of them into return customers, you have created a basis that will substantiate your business for years to come...
Members der oxenrig
I've destroyed so many Monster Bass cables that I just end up borrowing the green cables off the guitar center floor. They're pretty durable and don't sound bad, either. And their free.
