Members The Unknown Posted September 15, 2005 Members Posted September 15, 2005 I was thinking of getting something, not too expensive, floor or not (rather not), new or used, cheap. Any suggestions ?
Members flatcat Posted September 15, 2005 Members Posted September 15, 2005 Maybe a Yamaha MagicStomp. It's not designed for bass per se - but it's a really good sounding unit. The original versions are discontinued, you can get it for like $99. I recently bought one, and I think it's very good sounding. I use it on guitar though.

Members Cortfan Posted September 16, 2005 Members Posted September 16, 2005 I use my POD 2.0 (the guitar one). It works fine for the few times I use effects. You can probably pick one up a used one cheap. YMMV.

Members The Unknown Posted September 16, 2005 Author Members Posted September 16, 2005 Anybody tried one of these old ART nightbass ? I'm just curious, we used to dream about those 12 years ago...
Members Sixgun77 Posted September 17, 2005 Members Posted September 17, 2005 I played the nightbass a decade ago. Decided it's sound quality was a joke compared to Alesis. If you can find one on the cheap pick up an Alesis Quadraverb 2. It has awesome transparency and selectable filters so you can keep the effect off of your lows. I'm currently in the market for one myself for home studio and live vocal apps.
