I LOVE Chipotle!!!! Some of the best burritos ever, however I find them to be rather inconsistent, but that has more to do with the resturaunt I go to. Qdoba's isn't quite as good, but it's more consistent, and it's closer.

I know what they are (http://www.tomatogrowers.com/tomatillos.htm), but they're not peppers. That's why I was confused.

I bought some once and didn't care for them... I'll have to try them again sometime.

Oh, they totally do...if you're a wimp! Nice flavor but you've got to step up in to Serranos or Habaneros to get some good good stuff!

So they're not peppers. They still taste good!

A couple years ago, I got over the need to prove I'm a man by how hot I could eat things. It won't put hair on your chest, and I've already got more hair on my back than most have on their chest. Now I look for a comfortable, good tasting hot, and let somebody else do the sweating, and coping with that "Ring of Fire" the next morning!:D

So, do they have a bite to them then? I don't remember the ones I bought being spicy.

Yeah they're hot, but very flavorful. Not sure of their scoville rating. The "hot" sauce at Chipotle can vary from "Frank's Hot Sauce" kind of hot to "Oh God, I've been maced!"

Perhaps there are different types of these, and it's a regional thing. I got 'em at the local store, and they tasted just like the ones at Chipotle.

I am still trying to fiugre that out as well. My friend moved to Idaho, and he says that there are Mexicans there, but the Mexican food there sucks in comparison to California. I guess that the people there don not know the standard of Mexican foods here, so they don't have to try as hard:confused:
