Members T. Alan Smith Posted September 20, 2005 Members Posted September 20, 2005 My BadAss bridge & Bill Lawrence P-pup finally came in. While at the g**tar show last week, I picked up blue DR coated strings. I've got my Essex P completely apart now. I'm shiming the neck for starters. Then I think I'm gonna install a higher grade volume pot, then a series/parallel switch. My frankenbass is gonna be a real monster! :)

Members T. Alan Smith Posted September 22, 2005 Author Members Posted September 22, 2005 After inspection of the nut, I'm installing a new one(either bone or graphite, whichever the local shop has in stock).
Members Perfessor Posted September 22, 2005 Members Posted September 22, 2005 Is that due to string size?
Members T. Alan Smith Posted September 22, 2005 Author Members Posted September 22, 2005 Originally posted by Perfessor Is that due to string size? Not really. I inspected the nut more closely(after it dropped out of the slot from simply removing the old strings! ) ...and found out just how rough it was. It's pretty ratty looking.
