Members Texas Noise Factory Posted September 21, 2005 Members Posted September 21, 2005 And into my Peavey Vintage Combo (100w. Fender Bassman copy with 2x12") Maaan. This Unibass was worth waiting for! It tracks really well. I was getting ideas in like 5 minutes of plugging it in. Even strung BEAD it tracked well. It's a bit nasal sounding and it sustains out in a totally digital way. All I have to say is weird. It even tracks the evil harmonics the RD has. all light picking becomes a very resonant distorted harmonic if you want it to. And even plugged through as mix out there was enough seperation in sound as to what the bass and 'guitar' were doing... But it sounded good enough to use live. It definitely warms up with the tube head though. I could see using this through a Solid State head (especially without a tube or emulated tube preamp) as being too digital though. I'm told the RD's sound is pretty cold already, and I don't really notice that so take what you want from that... I think this pedal's gonna be sticking around. Thanks btw Jazz Ad. It finally got here today! Thanks also for the goodies. I love the bass player bumper sticker. I feel like a real HCBF er now. heh.
Members Rowka Posted September 21, 2005 Members Posted September 21, 2005 If you have a guit amp, it sounds great sending the effected signal through it.I use a V-Amp through a Tech 21 power engine (or straight to a Peavey classic 30) for the effected signal.Fantastic pedal.
Members Thunderbroom Posted September 21, 2005 Members Posted September 21, 2005 +1 to Rowka Running through a guitar amp or a DI type box straight to the PA will likely yield very good results.

Yeah, I was just surprised at how good it sounded running it mixed through one amp. I'll have to wait until I go to band practice to try it bi-amped. It will be fun scaring the crap outta my guitarist and drummer. Playing octaves on it sounds positively monsterous. So Rowka, you use your Knuckle through this? I'll be trying it out through my SVT 8x10, and probably a Randall 100w and 4x12 cab. I might need to dig out a tube preamp for it or something... This thing is way cool.
Members the hammer Posted September 21, 2005 Members Posted September 21, 2005 Damn you and your RD Gibby goodness!!
