Members ianick
I was browsing my local music store and they have a Sunn Concert Bass for sale. I know many of you love the old Sunn amps. It's got some dings but is in perfect working order. What is a good price for one?
Members Thumper
Sunn Concerts are solid-state. The old Sunns many of us love (200, 2000S, Sorado, etc) are tube, and are great amps. A Concert might make a good workhorse or back-up, but I haven't heard anyone raving about the tone. Also I wouldn't pay as much for a Concert as for a Sunn tube amp ($300-$400 is a good price for a nice Concert). Check it out, if you like it, go for it. Members timmerz
Right about $100 to $150 USD.... I've had two during my earlier years, and while they were dependable, they were not what you'd call Hi-Fi at all...very basic bass amps.... Members bnyswonger
They make your bass louder & are built like tanks. Think Peavey Mark IV. $150 tops.

CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted September 22, 2005 CMS Author Share Posted September 22, 2005 Yeah, good solid basic bass amp. Very realistic power rating. I think you'll be surprised though at how good it sounds. Sort of a cross between an Acoustic 370 and a G-K. If you want sterile, look elsewhere. I'd pay up to $200, but only because I have fond memories of them when I was first playing.
Members der oxenrig
Does it have the Distort control? There were two versions, one with distorsion, & one without. They're cool amps, not the greatest, but not bad by any means.
