Members bassplayinguy
its a little under powered for a full on band but if you like tube overdrive on bass then it will be great. id go with the SVT Classic if you can hack it, more power so it will stay cleaner at louder volumes but still has some tube drive
Members Deacon_blue
I just got a used one for 600 US dollars. It's one year old.The V4BH will suit most venues. You can always mike the cabinet if you need a little more db.Also, check out the Traynor YBA 200 which should be available in Europe.

Members oldivor
My V-4B is loud for 100 and the distortion is to kill for. With my 115 and 410 I can easily raddle the house.
Members bnyswonger
Originally posted by Deacon_blue .For that matter, your not going to see a huge difference fom the B-25B to the V4BH. Try before you buy, if at all possible. Oh, I think there's a significant difference between a B25 & a V4. I love the sound of a V4 and for most any gig I do, it would be fine. Match it up with a fairly efficient pair of 15"s and you have a great rig.

It's impossible to get a V4BH to any reasonable loudness without distortion/overdrive.

Members rllefebv
Two guitar amps that sound killer for bass... Top is a heavily modified Fender Bandmaster, running 60 watts... Nice warm distortion. It's ugly as sin, but that is being remedied with new tolex and grill cloth... Below that is my '71 V-4... Essentially the same as the V-4B with the exception of reverb and slightly different EQ centers... Through the 2X15 cab it kills. I can't see myself playing a gig where I'd need more amp... -robert
