Members GrooveMonkey
I went to the shop to check out 5 strings and to look for cool used stuff. I came home with this!: It's a Chinese built Cremona SB2 with an ebony board. It plays ok (I can set it up better though), and it feels good. It projects well too. $750 USD. Members Tommy Gunz
That's a good score, especially one with an ebony board.

Members tdempsey
nice score! I'm getting the "upright urge" and your deal doesn't really help since I just bought a drum machine and a Mac G4 laptop.

If I had done more research, I'd have held out for a Christopher or a King ($1500 range). I'll probably have that much into this one after new strings and a setup. Members The Unknown
I've been checking uprights lately and was told to stay away from chinese Cremona and Palatino... Now, do you like your bass ? Is there anything wrong with it ? Should I get one ?
Members GrooveMonkey
It's playable and sounds good to me. I'm fitting it with some Thomastik Spirocore strings this week and getting it setup. I'm having a blast with it!!! Everything I've read since buying this bass advises against them. Spending a little more fora Christopher or an Engleheart (Christopher being a bit nicer) would be a good plan. Oh well... I'll work with this for a year or two and possibly upgrade in the future.
