Members bassist31588 Posted September 24, 2005 Members Posted September 24, 2005 Theres a bug out there on AIM that sets itself up in people's away messages as "LOL look here" and links you to a .pif file. The internet adress domain changes, but it's usually a file "pictures.pif" or something... If anyones familiar with this, how do i get rid of it? I can't access my Task Manager (ctrl-alt-delete) without it shutting down as soon as it opens too... This aint good... I ran spysubtract but that didnt help and i tried searching for files pictures.pif.

I had this same problem, but at the time I had no virus protection, so the only solution was to format the hard drive and reinstal windows. I would reccommend AVG or PCcillin for an antivirus suite.
