Members siren
ive been playing bass for a few years now and i think its time to get rid of my squire (its {censored}, really). i need a bass that will work for rock and metal, but not something that will sound crap if i play other styles just wondering if anyone had any advice on some decend mid range basses cos everything i look at is either beginer-ish or way expensive
Members PrestiaRules
is your squire a P or a J? Do you prefer either style? Both will work for rock, metal etc. I would say spend some time at local shops and see what feels good and what sort of sound you like....base what you look at on your budget what is your budget? Sometimes these basses have a cheaper version (G&L vs. G&L Tribute, Stingray vs. SUB, etc) that is affordable but may not be at the store. In addition, trying things you can't afford will give you GAS and then we can all commiserate.
