Members phunkyhick
how in the world do people listen to that? No offense to metal fans, but I just don't get it. It sounds like an car factory on cocaine.

Actually these bands didn't sound bad for metalcore. Edit: I usually dislike metalcore.
Members bholder
I don't mind the music, I kind of enjoy it sometimes, but that "style" of "vocals" is just a complete turn off.
Members sunburstbasser
I couldn't hear the bass. Heavy though. Nice.

Members Newget
I'm sure you can just dump the treble and mid and boost the low to get that tone. Using a pick would probably help the muted fast sections. Unfortunately the mix wasn't clear enough for me to discern any more about the tone. I gave a few repeated listens to attempt to understand the lyrics but failed, it makes me wonder way the artists chose to garble his work? I would assume a songwriter would enjoy relaying the message of the song, and if its all about the music then drop the vocals, however that is my analysis. Maybe hes singing about how good cupcakes are and the lyrical content wouldn't fit in? So he garbles it up and people listen and go "ooh, scary!" Members phunkyhick
Most of that tone really comes from the guitars being very bassy, I think.

I own all their major releases, with Chaosphere being my favorite, followed by Catch-33, followed by nothing swedish bands on the whole really dominate. In Flames, Soilwork, The Haunted, Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquility all kill. The Haunted is one of my absolute favorites. Peter Dolving > *
