Members Osmur
What bass should I buy?Well I have about $800 CAD (or $685 USD) I can spend. With this, I want to buy a four string bass that is very good for slapping, picking, and fingering. Any suggestions before I check out the stores would be great. Thanks! In response to my recent post about which bass to buy, I went out to a local music store and found a cool bass. There were 2 cool basses in there, but this one caught my eye, the Schecter C-4 (clicky). And just my luck, it comes to a total of $800 CAD (or $685 USD), exactly my price range. The weird thing about this bass that I liked was the tin-sound it had. Sounded great and unique and was amazing for slapping. I was short on time so I wasn't able to try it through an amp, but next time I will be sure to. Now, I was wondering what experiences any of you have had with this bass, or this company. Thanks. Members dert_stylus
As you can see from my gear I love Schecter Guitars (I own Four) !!!They are great for the money !!! I dont have the C-4 , But I have the CV-4 and it is amazing, feels like it's worth twice what I paid. I only paid about $359 Used but in superb condition with a 2 year warranty. The company has a great reputation with their artist (Charles Levi - TKK), Spoke to hime b4 a concert and he explained to me that they treat everyone equally , no matter what level of an artist you are. i dont know if I answered your question, but i do adore my Scheks !!! ps. If you can find an American Schecter you will fall in love instantly !!! I cant wait to find one to my specs !!!
Members Osmur
Have you noticed that almost-tin-sound? And if so, what does it sound like through an amp?
Members no-logic
I have a C4 that I swapped the pups out with SD SSB-4's. Much improved with these vs. the EMG's IMO.
