Members degroove Posted September 27, 2005 Members Posted September 27, 2005 I was trying to decide between Aguilar and Bergantino for a 2 x 12 rig setup, and could not find anyplace close that sells berg stuff. I looked at the Dealers on the Berg site and found one in Fairless Hill, PA. I MAPQUESTED it and its just 1 hour away I am so happy. I can now test it out. I am waiting to hear back from them to see if they have Berg HT112 and EX112s in stock for trying out.

I dig the Fender Big Block basses. A practice amp is good for starting until you get good enought to want to play with others. I am very happy for you and for the lessons too.

Members Emprov Posted September 28, 2005 Members Posted September 28, 2005 He Degroove, for no other reason than I tend to stick my nose in other people's business and forcefeed advice when it's not asked for, how are you planning on using the new cabs? Are you planning on replacing your Edens with the two Bergies?

Are you planning on replacing your Edens with the two Bergies? Yeah, this is the area I am not sure about. I am using gig money to buy the Berg stuff. I am going to get the HT112 first, then save to get the EX112. In the mean time, I will be able to make sure that its going to be loud enough and have enough bottom prior to ditching the Eden setup. I might keep the Eden rig for bigger venues and outdoor stuff and the Berg for the majority of small indoor stuff I do. I am not offended by your question at all!

That'd be cool! I had pretty intense volume issues with a single 12 and any time I see that someone's going to ditch a larger rig for two 112's it kind of makes me twinge a bit. They can be incredible cabs but I don't care who makes 'em, a single 12 in a small cab's going to be quiet. And, at some point, the guy's gonna be disappointed with his purchase if the music that he plays is anywhere near loud. Good to hear that you're taking all of that stuff into consideration. Of course the obvious solution would be to score a GBE600 or something that'll handle 2ohm and run all 4 cabs!
