Members bassarama
I've determined that I love my Fender Jazz bass. It's an older model and the pickups sound great! But, I do want to upgrade the neck and I've decided I'm going to get a Modulus J style carbon fiber neck. The Modulus catalog lists that you can get the neck part by itself. However, it also says you have to go through a dealer. Does anyone know the best way for me to order a Modulus neck? Also, it doesn't come with tuners so I'll have to order the tuners too and I might possibly want to order a nice quality bridge for my Fender Jazz. Should I order through my local store or a Guitar Center or something, or does somebody know a better way like on-line to do it? Thanks, Bassarama
Members btb&dr=tone
There are other companies that make griphite necks for basses. Check out Moses.

Members Long
I would find a Modulus dealer to go through-- my interaction with Modulus Customer Service was pretty difficult, they were not helpful at all. (This was a couple years ago, so it is possible this has changed) But I think going through someone that has an established relationship with Modulus might be the best way to go. I've dealt with Tony at Planetbass.com in the past, I'd give that a try.
Members mlwarriner
if you go with moses, i'd suggest a dealer as well. i went direct through moses and it wasn't a very positve experience...it ended well, but it was a long hard road to get there.
