Members Emprov
Kind of an impossible question to answer, there are a ton of factors that affect how a bass sounds. It could be that you just plain have a better bass, I've never heard of a J Reynolds though so take that for what it's worth. Why do you want the Ibanez anyway, is it mainly for the looks? Members SteveyDevey
I'm going to guess that either you just like the sound of your bass, or there was something wrong with the ibanez. My girlfriend's little brother picked up a J Reynolds a few years ago. It was the least playable peice of crap I've ever seen. Now it could've just taken a beaten in its life, or been a bad melon, but looking at their prices on the net doesn't make me think it was a one-in-a-million problem. Members BoundandBlocked
I'm guessing that the ibanez wasn't eq'd right. ...or maybe it didn't have the low end that your Reynolds bass has since ibanez's grx line is not bass guitar but six-string electric. ( the amp i play mine in is ) and the grsx200 was played in the same amp ( the $750+ was not played at in the any amp, but there was no sound coming from any strings ) it could have had active pick ups. Members 4string
It could be the two gecko stickers changing the sustain:D
