Normally I'd say keep as much distance between your bass and any Rouge gear as possible, but for $60, play it until it fries :D.

I wish I could have that 10 minutes of my life back where I wasted it playing on a friend's weezing little Rogue. That thing was the opposite of tone. I'm scarred for life.

All right, for the extra money, this amp: Ibanez SW35 35 Watt bass amp will do you much better. If $100 is tops, then try the Ibanez SW20. I've played through both, but I went with the 100 watt version for practice. Notice that they each have RCA inputs for your cd/mp3 player. They both each have headphone outs as well. You could also check out the Fender Rumble or the Behringer BX300.

I've done a side-by-side with all of these amps, and though they weren't loud enough for me to practice with (hey, I've got a huge practice space with no concern for neighbors), each had strong points at low, apartment or concern for mom and dad volumes.

Good luck and keep on rockin!

I have one of these minus the cd input, I think its an older model. I don't even use it for bass anymore as it can't handle lows at all. The thing just buckled at the hands of my T40. I still use it but only for electric guitar, its pretty good for that except it has no overdrive, but I guess thats a good thing, I don't want to stray to far from bass.

How big is the speaker on that thing? It's hardly surprising it can't take the low frequencies.

Musician's Friend is Rogue; they wouldn't discontinue their own product now would they?

Step up to the Ibanez Soundwave & you'll be happier. The Peavey Minx is good and can be had cheap on eBay. The Roland Cube is nice, but more than you want to spend.
