Members PrestiaRules
not sure if someone posted this already Lakland Decade Series Bass Lakland celebrates its first 10 years in style with the introduction of its our latest model - The Decade. This new model incorporates several new design elements for Lakland: a unique body shape; Hammon Engineering Dark Star pickups; and a new truss rod wheel for neck adjustments. Lakland would like to sincerely thank members of the DudePit Forum, who were "instrumental" in bringing the Decade to life. They provided valuable suggestions from the initial prototype to actually naming the bass. Proof that Lakland listens to its customers! Members beam
Aside from the slightly fruity body shape...That thing slays all. Those Dark Stars are crying out for a semi/full hollowbody though.

Members PrestiaRules
I think it looks a little like a J bass and a Rev. smashed together....
Members speddling
I played that Bass! Dale (the Lakland webguy) brought it to the NYC GTG the other weekend. The pickups were VERY percussive... very nice tone. I'll be looking to put a darkstar in a bass (I've been thinking a pair in my 32" scale destroyer might happen) I couldn't get into the bass though, that neck is so skinny it makes a Geddy feel like a bat Increadable craftsmanship.... just not my kinda neck.
