Members bassplayer7770
That little thing will serve you well. It should be great for rehearsals, personal practice, and recording. With that amp, you don't necessarily need a mic because you can use the DI. All you would need is a mic (XLR) cable.

That will totally rock You will be blown away by 180 Watts and a 15 inch speaker. You will also be able to start to jam with others if you don't get too loud. I pedict it will replace your current practice amp and give you GAS for a head/cab rig in six months or less!

Members sunburstbasser
I've got its big brother, the MAG 300 head. Great sound, and I've had no problems thus far. You will like that amp. Plus, when you upgrade you can stick with the same company for the amp at least!
Members gbassman100
I have that same amp in the 12 inch speaker, use it for band practice and it's plenty loud. I've even gigged with it and was told to turn down the volume! Granted it was a wedding reception where there were a few old people with hearing aids, but it did in fact fill up a fairly large Elks Club with sound. Members pope_face
Ok... first off, before I forget to ask/miss my opportunity, what does GAS stand for? Gear Accquiring Syndrome? As for the amp, looks pretty good... not that I've ever played one. Philly

Members hammer744
I will be more than happy to welcome you to the Ashdown club - good amp, and yes, plenty of volume to annoy the neighbors, let alone shake stuff off the wall.
