In keeping with the country theme, just find an old highway sign and paint your name on it. The more bullet holes the better (add some if you think it needs it).

The banners I had made for my old band were simple white vinyl letters on black banner stock. Cost me $50 for 2 of them. We never really had a logo so I just used the same font and layout that I did for all the other promo material:

That being said, I LOVE takeout's idea! icon14.gif

Can you recommend image settings for setting this up? I don't totally get the pixels and dpi stuff.

I'd like to design a banner that will be printed at 3' x 5'. Since I have the logo (thanks to you) as a vector-based file, I can resize it to fit my "canvas" but am unsure how big the canvas should be.

My wife does all our printing stuff but I would just call around and ask what format they need. That being said, 300 dpi will work for most printing projects if they don't ask for the vector.

No banner, but we use this on flyers and T-shirts; we're in northwest Washington state and we've heard stories that one of our shirts was seen on a man a a Los Angeles airport; made our day.:D

I make banners, so I can try and price you some stuff too. We just do vinyl though, we don't print.

That said, I had two banners with Starfront -- the smaller one was a 4'x10', and the bigger one was an 8'x24'. We'd use the smaller one most of the time, because the bigger one didn't fit in a lot of clubs. Mostly just for outdoor shows and bigger inside shows (we used it at the show at the Hampton Coliseum, for example).

I don't have a picture of the big one with me, but here was the small one:
