I think it sounds really good in that one. The bass is definitely there, but it isn't overpowering everything else. It fits right into the song and is rather noticeable.

Is that you wailing on the six string?

Oh that, yeah... that's my, uh... um... piccolo bass! Yeah, that's it!;)

That cause you are utilizing a more-than-4-note lead. :D

Great sounding tune, dude!

Sounds good! Like the others said, 80's sounding and there's nothing wrong with that. Nice tone, sounds similar to the guy that plays in puddle of mudd.

I dig his tone and your too!

What's your gear setup?

(As if anybody didn't see that coming) :D

The bass is my Schecter Stiletto Elite with Bart pups and pre, to a BDDI to a Zoom 8 track. All the guit parts are from my Carvin DC200 to a ToneLab to the Zoom. I am slowly improving on recording quality tones but have a long way to go even with this minimal setup. Thanks for the comments!

Wow, those Barts sound really good in that Schecter!

*Rethinks putting SD basslines in his own schecter*

I think the recording sounds great as it is!

Check in with Beam also, he has one with barts, including a pseudo-P neck pup that sounds great. My thought is that getting pups with more mid presence in there, with a pre that includes a mid control made this a whole different bass. Much less boomy, more definition and overall better tone in recordings. The basses have a good natural sound, but the EMG's and the stock pre's choke all the mids out of them. I used the Classic Bass pups, but would have considered the P style that Beam used after hearing it.
