Members james on bass
Cool. i was wondering when you'd get it. I picked one up in late August. I've gigged it a couple of times and used in rehearsal quite a few times. I love it! For such a cheap investment, it really helped me achieve the sound I've been striving for. This Saturday should be my first test using as a DI as well as effect.

When I line it out to the PA the signal is so low you can barely hear it through the PA speakers even if no one else is playing....

I bought the BDI21 and the ADI21.... the BDI21 is more distinct in improving the tone of my instrument comparing to the ADI21... I have recorded a bass track so far with the ADI21, and I get a good solid tone without much tweaking.... I'll be recording the ADI21 these few days, and see how's the result.... Members ToeJamFootball
oh {censored} yeah, this thing rocks, it is exactly what i have been looking for sound wise. i just kept the EQ on my amp flat except for the boosted mids, and set the tone with the pedal. it sounds, my sound fills the room much nicer now. Members mounds
where'd you order the thing? i found it at B&H and a couple other places, but I didn't know if there was a preferred location to purchase it.
Members james on bass
Gigged last night at a larger venue with full sound system. For larger rooms, I use the DI off the back of my amp to the board. Just to know for sure, I tried the BDI straight to the board as a DI, and like Prestia said, the thing sucks ass as a DI unit! Very little volume at all. Not that I care - I bought it to use as an effect, not as a DI. I like going direct out from my amp's DI.The sound guy is also a bass player, and a buddy of mine showed up (also a bass player) and they both said my sound was great up front. Members bonscottvocals
Leeking, so are you studying digital circuitry or microcircuits? I noticed the book by Tocci.

I have submitted my review for both the BDI21 and ADI21 in the review section... not sure if it has shown up yet...
Members mounds
i just special ordered one from my local music shop (grandma's music and sound) they're giving it to me for $26.50 derek: if you want an idea of how it affects the sound of an amp, i could probably oblige and record a before & after thing, as you requested. Someone on here was insisting I was using it wrong explaining to me that the level will be lower than a line (of course)... but not so low that you can't hear it through a bid old powered mixer! I've seen that in reviews on the HC review center. I intend on using mine as an effect-- if I want a DI, I'll use the one on my amp.
Members PrestiaRules
well when you play different bars all with different amps, pa systems etc. like they are set up here, it would be nice if the DI option was available....in particular as a back up for an amp that you may or may not havr ever seen before...also if it is advertised as one it should be able to function as one.... That's exactly it. I use the level setting at 12:00. Even at full-out, the board was barely registering anything. It would be nice to be able to have it as a reliable DI backup, but for what I paid for it, I am extremely happy with how it works as an effects pedal.
