Members BigPigPeaches Posted October 10, 2005 Members Posted October 10, 2005 Anybody know what Eddie was playing through in the Mindcrime era? I remember the Spector but I'd like to know how he got his tone. Also, does anyone know what Chris DeGarmo is up to these days?
Members JC Bass Posted October 10, 2005 Members Posted October 10, 2005 Ahhhhhh....Eddie..... Saw him a couple of months ago in Dallas...at one point during the concert I was less than 5 feet from him (it was an "I'm not worthy" moment!!). When I first started playing, he was my biggest influence. Loved his tone on Mindcrime and Empire.

I caught the same show...excellent set, but I was a little less than impressed with their new guitarist. Not much soul in that dude.

Not much soul in that dude. I agree...not to mention that he does NOT fit in with the rest of the band AT ALL!! All through the show I kept thinking to myself "What rock did they pull him out from under?!?!?"
Members Crackle Posted October 10, 2005 Members Posted October 10, 2005 This article is 1994-era, but Eddie talks about his tone here: http://64.233.187.104/search?q=cache:kbuyrlQmRU8J:aarvak.com/interviews/eddie.html+%22eddie+jackson%22+stole&hl=en&start=1 He is using a Sansamp PSA-1 now, and I think he gets some awesome tone from it.
