Members RSBro
Let me just preface by saying I (was) a huge Disturbed fan. "Believe" is probably in my Top 10, if not Top 5 albums... But I don'tknow who decided to say, "Hey, let's sound like ass, try to be a trendy-ass political band, and completely do everything opposite of what we've done before that was good". Whether it was Fuzz leaving (which I would've too, after hearing this album!), or whatever, this album completely blows. There's ONE and a half songs that are ever halfway decent on it out of 14 tracks. I'm so tired of these whiny-assed musicians attempting to become political analysts nowadays... Honestly, nobody gives a {censored}. You get drunk, high, STD's on a nightly basis... Most of you didn't finish high school, much less attend higher education institutions even giving you grounds to make public commentaries based on political agendas. When you blame the problems of the world on one individual, yet are too much of a {censored}tard to realize our damn President has NO power without the approval and consent of Congress, it makes you look like that much more of a dumbass. I can't wait to take this {censored} back to Hastings tomorrow and get some in store credit. A friggin' sticker is more valuable than this album. Members Zeromus-X
Gotta be honest though, that "Land of Confusion" cover is actually pretty decent. It'd be a lot better if he kept the random squawking out of it, though.

Members Droplaw621
one of the worst shows I ever saw, they {censored}ing blew bad, such a produced band, they don't deserve that bandname.
Members TheDarxide
I've never heard Disturbed till the weekend when I saw the video for Stricken on the telly. Will I like their other stuff, and what should I get? I'm not normally into 'modern' metal, I like 80's hard rock, but Stricken was great.... Yeah yeah, I've heard the Harvard stuff, which, as you said, is pretty meaningless. Being accepted and going to a an Ivy League school isn't all that special, to be honest... I've had plenty of friends who've been accepted there but couldn't come up with the funding to attend there, Yale, Duke, Cornell, Stanford, etc.. But I guess I'll just have to say to everyone else "you're right" about quote/unquote "selling out". It's kinda funny now, but I just wish they'd of at least made a decent record MUSICALLY, the content notwithstanding. And what I mean by "nowadays", it isn't just anti-politics; it's anti-Bush as a person, and that's just what makes me so mad. People have problems they can't take care of themselves, so hell, it's gotta be someone else's fault... why not the President? I'm sure he conjured up in his mind the sonic force to cause that earthquake in Pakistan this weekend, right? No? Well, he damn well better be blamed for it, cause someone's gotta take responsibility besides the Japanese Mafia!! Darxide- Their old stuff isn't really like the new album at all... I'd suggest "Believe", their last album. I usually don't skip through tracks on that record, cause they're all pretty sharp. And corey- I'd never make an anti-one person record, much less a political one. nobody gives a damn what i think. i'm not gonna try and force it down people's throats with the assumption of a rock record. Members RSBro
Originally posted by TheDarxide Cool, thanks. NP. Their first album, "The Sickness" is also a great album. Once you hear them, and then see the new stuff, you'll probably be in agreement in saying "Wow, what happened?" Anyways, sorry to bring out the political side of it all, as this isn't the place to do it anymore, but it just kinda, no, really pissesd me off... In other news, I'm watching the new "Doom" trailer, and oh... my... god... I don't think they're going to screw it up, from what I've seen. A good 'n bad "R" rating, actually using demons instead of friggin' mutants, The Rock taking center stage... hells yes!!

Complete let down because now it sounds like we're copying them. So we just dropped it even though I think ours was WAY better. I'm not a fan of how they did it at all. Aw {censored}, I totally forgot the at the end. Sorry Reagan! While I nearly agree with your statement, regardless of affiliation, it is one's right to make whatever statements the law allows. If someone wants to make a record pointing out the collosal blunders of this and previous presidencies, far be it for us, and especially the gov't, to say they cant. However, your vote is your dollars and I, prolly like yourself, will not give my financial nod to support their position. Likewise with buying music at Walmart and coffee from Starbucks. my money, my vote.

Likewise with buying music at Walmart and coffee from Starbucks. my money, my vote. it's all good man... Actually, I've tried as much as possible to distance myself from ANY political affiliation- parties notwithstanding. For the past almost 2 months now, all I do is tax research and it's a blast. We get screwed no matter who is in office, because there's no check to any federal authority. You have a jury of your supposed "peers" (who aren't going to have the damndest clue as to what "income", "employee" and "employer" mean by USC code definitions), and then a judge who's fighting you for his paycheck... It all sucks, but somebody's gotta do it... It's really made me sit back and look how you've said- who you give your $$ to is who you give your vote to. I've tried as much as possible lately to miss Wal-Mart and support our local Kroger or Brookshires and our local music shop as much as possible. I'm for free speech (haha, we do some cases where that's completely thrown out the window...), but this was more a complaint at the band than anything else... Ah well. In music related news, we're hoping to get some contacts up your way to start getting some gigs. One step at a time! First to conquer Austin, then branch out... Is there still going to be a guitar convention meet-up this year? Or are they even having one? I think i wanna come up, since I'd actually have SOME money to spend this year!
