Members Deacon_blue Posted October 11, 2005 Members Posted October 11, 2005 I was bored and had some Bill Lawrence pups sitting around so I thought that I would throw them in my SX. I didn't mind the original pickups that much except in a live mix where they would get lost. So, time to change them and the pots and also the output jack. I installed some shielding while I was under the hood. The new pots are 500k with an 047 cap wired 2 volume and one tone as was the original.I had to do a little cutting on the pickguard around the pickup screw bosses.None of the pole pieces line up with the strings except for the A, but output is the same all around so I am pleased.

Members Crescent Seven Posted October 15, 2005 Members Posted October 15, 2005 Be careful if you decide to go with a Badass V bridge. The screwholes don't line up right like they would on a Fender; I ended up having to drill and it's off center by about 3mm, enough to notice on the G string. That aside, adding the Badass bridge made 100% difference in the tone and feel.Sweet bass!C7
