Members The Insomniac
Last year the Cards broke my heart when we were swept by Boston - but this year I have hope. This year the Cards have to be the front runners to win it all. I need this! Grrrrr!!!
Members basseuphoria
hey, have some faith. remember, this team has a bench that acts like a starting lineup and the most disciplined coaching staff in the majors. starting pitching is way better than last year and this organization doesn't usually lose 2 years in a row. Props to the best baseball town in america.jim ps. i love the look of defeat on derek jeters arrogant face.

Members Emprov
Cards baby! I think the 'Stro's pitching is gonna fall big time after a full season of work and Ensure and the American league will be no prob. Card's are just too good to be denied this year. Members hawkhuff
The Sox look pretty tough. Maybe unstoppable?

Also, wasn't there some stat about the team beating the Yankees in the playoffs always winning the WS? Heard that this morning....
Members bassplayer7770
Even though I'm not really a fan of any of those teams, I'll probably be pullin' for the Sox...

Granted you're wrong about the first part, (who's the other oldies on the pitching staff besides Rocket, anyways? all the other guys are kids!) Biggio is the only Old Timer on the field, as Bagwell is DH'ing right now. But don't be so sure about the AL- I was pulling for the Cards (naturally) in last years WS and will again this time if they make it past the Stros. BoSox sweep? I won't soon forget! Cards looked unstoppable last year too.

Starters:Clemen's ERA 1.87 Pettite ERA 2.39 Oswalt ERA 2.94 Backe ERA 4.76 And our closer "Light Out" Lidge ERA 2.

He and Pettite were 1 and 2 and Oswalt was 9 on the best ERA's for the year in baseball. We score 100 less runs than last year and are still in a better position. THAT is the definition of a good pitching staff!

All we need is for some bats to show up, and we'll have a nice clear route to the W.S., and hopefully a title.
