High action is the best...especially if there's two or more girls involved...

7mm...that's not too bad for a P really, I think that they quite like a high action in fact.

 

Ultimately though it's down to you - if it's uncomfortable or tiring for you to play, or if you're struggling with faster runs then it might be an idea to lower it a tad. But if you're happy with the way it plays, leave it as is IMHO.

 

Yes, that buzzing spring is a {censored} on precisions. It's a {censored}ter that you spend so much on a bass, that is great in most other respects, but which has hardware that came out of a cereal packet :mad:

 

Try jimmying it about a bit

next time you re-string, or now if you'd rather, pull the spring off (remove the saddle entirely) and stretch the spring some. re-install. set intonation. buzzing (should be) gone :)
