Members State 6000
The string height on my p-bass is 7mm (0.27") at the 12th fret (from the wood, not from the top of the fret). Is that way high? How high is the action on your bass?
Members State 6000
Oh yeah, and ever since I changed my strings, the spring for the A-string saddle buzzes. WRATH OF KHAN.
Members FreestyleIntruder
High action is the best...especially if there's two or more girls involved... uhh 7mm...that's not too bad for a P really, I think that they quite like a high action in fact. Ultimately though it's down to you - if it's uncomfortable or tiring for you to play, or if you're struggling with faster runs then it might be an idea to lower it a tad. But if you're happy with the way it plays, leave it as is IMHO. Yes, that buzzing spring is a {censored} on precisions. It's a {censored}ter that you spend so much on a bass, that is great in most other respects, but which has hardware that came out of a cereal packet Try jimmying it about a bit

Members State 6000
Thanks for the replies! The only reason I thought the action might be too high is because it looks a bit goofy.
