Members Emprov Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 I was reading an article over the weekend about man made diamonds. Aparantly a guy has been able to get them up to 5 pts and 10 is soon to follow and the quality is indestinguishable from the real McCoy. The article was saying that his goal is to replace silicon with diamonds in chips. Ramifications are that anything that uses chips, i.e. cell phones, iPods, computers, etc... will be made light years better. Instead of an iPod storing 10,000 songs, the same unit would be able to store 10,000 movies, pretty cool stuff!
Members Zeromus-X Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 A regular ol' iPod running a Linux build can watch movies as well, by the way, for those of you who already have one. Plenty of sites online to teach you how. I'll stick with my mobiBlu cube.

Members sunburstbasser Posted October 13, 2005 Members Posted October 13, 2005 I heard about that today. They are smaller than the older iPods, do more, same capacity, better battery life, video capability (really cool!), and the same price. I like iPods. I know a lot of people don't but dammit I like Apple products!
