Members geddyentwistle Posted October 14, 2005 Members Posted October 14, 2005 i'd like two amps in one...to run my bass guitar into one input, but have at least two channels and cabinets with different sounds one for a dedicated straight bass sound, and the other for FX...footswicthable any amps allow this?? anyone do this ??
Members cthulhu0 Posted October 14, 2005 Members Posted October 14, 2005 um, an a/b/y footswitch or a stereo pedal will split the signal any way you want. after the signal is split you can route thru different signal paths, ie to two different amp/cabs. if you want the signal to recombine into one amp... might get mushy and terible. but something you;d have to try.
Members Melville Posted October 14, 2005 Members Posted October 14, 2005 Offhand, I can't think of any amps that would let you do that. Well, you may be able to get creative with the effects loop if it has a stereo return but I'm not positive on that. You could get two preamps and run them into a stereo power amp (or just get two amps) and run your clean signal on one side and the effected side on the other.
