Members Rowka Posted October 18, 2005 Members Posted October 18, 2005 What bit of gear (something elaborate or simple) do you wish there was, but no one's built it yet? I have some resources available to me that I've never had before (and I'm sure will go away in the not to distant future) so I'd like to get some ideas. Maybe we'll come up with a "Topsy Tail" for bassists. So, what "thing" would make your life easier or better?
Members sultan417 Posted October 18, 2005 Members Posted October 18, 2005 GK 800rb style head with 600 wats for the low freq channel and 200 watts for the hi freq channel. Also a seperate effects loop for the hi freq channel so you can have effected highs and clean lows. They make that and ill buy two.

Members takeout Posted October 18, 2005 Members Posted October 18, 2005 Sure. I give you my brilliant ideas, and you run off and patent them. Sounds like a great deal. Don't make me point my lug-based weapon in your general direction; there's enough hurricane season left to still do some damage...
Members the hammer Posted October 18, 2005 Members Posted October 18, 2005 A "Jack Daniel's Dolby Noise Reducer". A device that will mute the off key drunken singing from the drunk asshole behind you at a concert. A low tech beta version of this device already exists (aka the fist) but a more user friendly version is need. These could be sold at all U2 and Dave Matthews concerts for a huge profit.
Members beam Posted October 18, 2005 Members Posted October 18, 2005 A good quality, 10lb, 200 watt, all tube, inexpensive amp

I like the current beta version, however. If it's not broken, don't fix it;) Back in the day, I designed a cab that had a slight extention at the back that was open (closed off from the actuall cab) and lined with some velvet and padding. This would be used as sort of a stand for a backup instrument or a place to toss chords, cases of batteries etc. It would be cool to have if you had a roadie I wish there was a portable, inexpensive keyboard that could accurately reproduce the various Hammond organs, Wurlitzer, Rhodes and still be able to do samples, synths, the works.

Members M-1 Fan Posted October 18, 2005 Members Posted October 18, 2005 I would like some software that can convert .mp3's into lead sheets, with each instrument presented including drums. I want to be able to record something and have a lead sheet printed out. I want to be able to run any CD into this software and have it print out all the instruments in standard notation and TAB. Is that too much to ask for. I've been waiting for it for 20 years.
Members dwalmz Posted October 18, 2005 Members Posted October 18, 2005 A 35lb [or less] 4x10 cab! A 20lb [or less] 1000w@4ohm amp. A 8lb [or less] 5string Fender [or Fender style] jazz bass.
