Members mike fitzwell Posted October 20, 2005 Members Posted October 20, 2005 Hands down the worst cover of the past year has to be Ozzy doing Mississippi Queen. Makes me want to hurl everytime I hear it.
Members zachoff Posted October 20, 2005 Members Posted October 20, 2005 Whoever did Sweet Child of Mine a couple years ago. Yeah, Ozzy doing Mississippi Queen was bad for sure. Not that the original was great, but Limp Bizkit doing Faith really sucked. Korn's new cover of Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall really really sucks too.
Members Bass8987 Posted October 20, 2005 Members Posted October 20, 2005 U2 covered Fortunate Son and it sucks ass
Members mounds Posted October 20, 2005 Members Posted October 20, 2005 I really don't like "Inna Gadda Da Vida" covered by Slayer. It bugs the piss out of me. and EEEWWW to thinking of U2 covering CCR...
Members PrestiaRules Posted October 20, 2005 Members Posted October 20, 2005 That 'Under My Thumb' cover...can't remember the band but it is awful
Members shelbass Posted October 20, 2005 Members Posted October 20, 2005 The correct answer is .... Behind Blue Eyes - Limp Bizkit covering The Who.
Members Gfunkk44 Posted October 20, 2005 Members Posted October 20, 2005 Brittany Spears - I love rock n roll... brittany sucks at anything... hopefully she won't screw up too bad with her kid.... The last band we giged with - Killing in the name of..... TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!

It made me sick when I saw the music video, and I'm not even a fan of The Who.
Members Thumper Posted October 20, 2005 Members Posted October 20, 2005 Tori Amos covering 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'Some hair band (don't remember who) covering 'The Real Me' Cobain and Entwistle (RIP) are spinning in their graves.

Members bonscottvocals Posted October 20, 2005 Members Posted October 20, 2005 Clapton covering Cream's "Layla" on acoustic. Ugh! Talk about "Here's a version for the old people so I can milk some more cash outta this one" BS. And now, for those on Prozac, "Layla"!

E.C. and Dwayne Allman on guitars. Good stuff. But, you're right, the accoustic version sucks. Though, I don't think he had much choice - it's from the MTV unplugged concert.

That's what's really missing, I think is that screaming guitar and those killer vocals. I would have been thrown out of the MTV studios for booing if I'd been there. Yuk. Agree earlier with earlier songs, and let's add another horrible mistake: Celine Dionne (sp?) - You Shook me All Night Long! What a farce.

I actually really like that version. I think it's a lot better than the original. Of course I think any pink floyd after Syd Barret is poop
Members bapslap Posted October 20, 2005 Members Posted October 20, 2005 Korn's new cover of Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall really really sucks too. I totally agree. The first time I heard it I laughed...hard. The solo section is a riot. It has absolutely no feel. It's kinda like the guitarist is trying to sight read it out of a Guitar World and when it gets too difficult that's when the "improvising" starts. heheh.

It's like me when I'm trying to play YYZ... Um... that's good enough. Hey, I don't let anyone else hear it yet though. :^)
